If so, how would you rate it and did you make any additions to the recipe?

I did a similar recipe and added a can or two of unspiced canned pumpkin pie filling to the fermenter. Turned out real nice. Not something I would drink a lot of on a regular basis, so I may even have a bottle or two of four year old Pumpkin Spice beer hiding with my other aging beers in the corner of the closet. Hmmm, I guess I'll have to go dig soon and see as that season is coming soon.

It's in the fermenter, along with a can of pumpkin. I'll let you know what I think in a few weeks when it's ready for tasting.

My pumpkin spice beer was tasted a few days ago. It's still a little green but is quite good. The pumpkin addition was absolutely necessary to get the pumpkin flavor into the beer. Without it, it would have been reminiscent of pumpkin pie, but without any pumpkin would have been as disappointing as commercial beers. The pumpkin give it a nice ending flavor. It's creamy and a little thick, and I don't know if I would make this more than once a year for my wife's birthday, but it's still good enough to drink. She loves it.
